After every trip, on that quiet drive to the airport or while watching the clouds drift beneath the plane, I find myself reflecting. I ask whether I gave everything I had. Whether I showed up fully, learned with humility, taught with heart, and left others inspired to continue their own journey of discovery. This work is my passion, a calling that matters deeply to me, and I carry that responsibility everywhere I go. If you come to an event, you get all of me, all of the time, because it’s the only way I know.
Our three weeks in the Netherlands, marking the opening of the Human ↔ Horse Connection Tour, a journey we now carry forward into 2026, were filled beyond measure. Amazing people. Remarkable horses. Countless conversations and unforgettable experiences. Five lectures. Two workshops. A clinic. And the largest in-person audience of my career so far at the KNHS Equestrian Centre’s Inspiration Day organized by Dressuurnatuurlijk, a milestone moment Daphne and I will never forget, and I thank them for honoring me with the invitation to present! Additionally, I had the distinct honor to once again be interviewed for an upcoming feature in Bit & Cap, the Netherlands premier equestrian magazine! I am told that you can look for this article early in 2026.
The reception to Herd Wired: In Pursuit of Discovery has left me sincerely humbled. I had the privilege of signing more copies than I could have imagined, in both English and Dutch, and many readers shared how the book touched them not only on their journey with horses, but also on the journey of life itself. That means the world to me. I hoped this book would walk beside readers on their own path and knowing it is doing just that fills me with gratitude.
Between major events, I traveled to meet several horses for private evaluations, each one a reminder that no matter the breed, the discipline, or the location, Herd Dynamics and Sensory Soundness™ are universal truths and the underwriters of the operating system running the machine. And when we found moments to explore, Daphne and I marveled once again at distinct beauty found in Utrecht, Deventer, and Amersfoort, cities that reward every curious step with history and discovery.
We owe a heartfelt thank-you to every person who made this incredible journey possible, especially our wonderful host and dear friend, Nieske Pohlmann of PaardenLuisteren. Special thanks out to our Dutch publisher Bloemendal Uitgevers and to dear friends, Armin, Wouter, Frank & Inge, and the lovely human, Manon; your kindness, enthusiasm, and friendship mean so much.
Looking Ahead: A Future Built on Learning
Now that we have returned from the trip, I can hardly contain the energy I feel to build what’s next. During the tour, Daphne and I developed a brand-new FREE lesson - keeping its original title: A Look Into Equine Behavior
This lesson is now available in our Learning Library on the Education page. It marks the beginning of a new chapter in our education vision; a digital curriculum that brings the Human ↔ Horse Connection directly to students around the world.
Beginning this month and leading us toward our return to Australia in March 2026, new course lessons will include:
Understanding Herd Dynamics: Natural Herd Structure
Understanding Sensory Soundness™ (Part One)
The Psychology of Performance
Coaching the Equine Athlete: Training the Mind
Natural Herd Dynamics in the Domesticated World
These foundational courses underwrite everything I teach and are only the beginning of what’s to come as place welfare before discipline and the view from the hoof before the view from the saddle.
If you take the free lesson, you’ll automatically be notified the moment new content is released. My ambition is to create a complete curriculum; an accredited, globally recognized education program that supports your pursuit of discovery.
