The Sensory Soundness Lexicon
A foundational listening library, read by Kerry M. Thomas
“Language is the mathematics of the mind, where the complexity of communication is solved through the simplicity of understanding. Every word is like a number, each sentence an equation. Language shapes perception. Perception shapes expectation. Expectation shapes outcome. And one misused word can alter the entire equation.” kmt
The Sensory Soundness Lexicon is a curated collection of terms developed to describe how horses perceive, process, and respond to their environment, herd, and human interaction.
These terms were not created to label behavior, but to give language to the underlying sensory, emotional, and neurological processes that drive it.
Each entry is read in Kerry M. Thomas’s voice to preserve the nuance, intention, and meaning behind the language — offering listeners a direct connection to the framework as it was developed.
This Lexicon is intended as a living reference for equine professionals, educators, welfare advocates, and serious students of the horse.
